I have attended CC Broomfield for years and have never heard of Chris Clegg. Very sad, sounds like quite an ungodly angry person. Just last week, Pastor Kevin mentioned Richie as being the founding Pastor of CCB. Pastor Richie himself, announced that he chose Kevin and that Pastor Ed recommended him because he wanted to retire after 35 years. Pastor Kevin does a great job of teaching scripture verse by verse and how to apply it to your life. The church is growing. It provides a wonderful children's ministry, high school outreach, men's/womens bible studies, music worship team, prayer team, college campus outreach in Boulder, supports missionaries and ministers to those in need. There is a problem at this ministry. For those interested, Richie Furay resigned from the position as Senior Pastor in 2017. In his place a young pastor named Kevin Utile from Southern California was named, handpicked by none other than Pastor Ed Taylor from Calvary Aurora. While Richie tried to stay on and help transition the change, Kevin became too much for him to deal with so he resigned and quit attending completely. For his part, Kevin removed any evidence from the CCB website that Richie had ever been pastor there. All the old sermons, pictures, etc - all removed. After Richie's leaving, attendance is down, to the point that when you watch the Sunday service on their live cam, the worship team nearly outnumbers the audience. Having known Pastor Richie and attended for years while under his direction, his decision to abandon the church speaks volumes for me. Avoid.
I began attending Calvary Chapel Broomfield in 2006 and was quickly welcomed by Pastor Richie and his wife Nancy. The teaching is directly scripture based with several cross references for each point. The teaching is based on a Book of the Bible that God lays on Richies heart to share. The praise and worship lend a depth of richness to the experience as it prepares the heart to receive Gods Word. We commuted 1 1/2 hours to attend there until we moved to Florida. If you are seeking a church home where you can serve the Lord and reach out to the unchurched this may be the place for you
