We were very happy with our visit here. The food was great. We ordered too many sides because they all sounded good, and we liked everything we tried. The pork chop was incredible, and the cocktails were very good. Glad to see new options opening up in the area.
One of my favorite places. Not your standard fare. innovative, delicious food. , great service, interesting cocktails, and awesome atmosphere. You should try this place!
Hickory and Ash was okay. Seems like this restaurant wants to be more upscale than they are. Food was good but steaks were not cooked as expected. Service started out good but fell short as we finished dinner and it appeared that our waitress had become overwhelmed. We ordered dessert and that took far longer than expected. When I order coffee and dessert I don't expect the coffee to be cooled down by the time dessert finally makes it to the table. I wouldn't rule out going back but it would not be the place that comes up first when discussing where to go out for dinner. People were nice but overall Hickory and Ash needs to figure out who they want to be. Rustic upscale is what it seemed to be going for. There were plenty of wait staff they just didnt seem to be getting things done, at least not when it came to a smooth and flowing experience at our table.
Comfortable bar and restaurant with a variety of American menu items. They had a great steak tartar starter. I had the tasty salmon entree, which was served with a side of slightly over cooked asparagus and a delicious lime drizzle, plus something with an unidentifiable taste as a starch. The lamb was good according to my dinner companion, as was the steak. The service was excellent. Nice selection of wines.
This place is gorgeous and a great choice for dinner but I don't recommend for Happy Hour. Happy Hour is only available the "bar" area which is basically one side of the large dining room with no table seating. I came here along with 3 ladies with the intention of enjoying Happy Hour but since there were no table options we decided to sit at a dining table with regular pricing. The staff made us feel uncomfortable for only ordering drinks and one appetizer which was always our intention for the outing. We were asked to leave when the staff said they had a dinner reservation arriving soon.
