Always a great adventure finding treasures at a reasonable price.
For does mind people's, an excellent recycling place.
It wasn't the biggest store, but they had a decent selection and was layed our pretty coherently.
Horrible for profit business. Tried to donate a couch in good contact a little dog fur on it and they decided it wasn't good enough for them. It is obvious they are just looking to make money from the things people donate for free.
As Arc thrift stores go, this is one of the better ones. The Louisville store is often better on some items but, overall, they're comparable. The main problem with most Arcs is that they're overpriced on most items until they're on sale for 50% by which time there really isn't much left that's worth buying. This store used to be pretty good on prices but I mostly stopped shopping here about a year ago because their prices went up too much. Their clothes are still pretty decent (except men's belts and most shoes) but most other items, especially electronic items and tools, are way too high. As an example, I recently saw a floor fan there for half the price of an identical Walmart fan but the bearings were wearing out and it was extremely noisy and rusty. I wouldn't have bought it at any price. All audio visual equipment I've bought there has had something about it that was odd or didn't work right such as a DVD player that had no buttons but I couldn't find a remote for it and universal ones only worked partially and it couldn't play newer DVDs. Another was a bookshelf stereo system with a CD player that only worked sometimes and after a few weeks it took about 15 minutes of fiddling with it every time you wanted to play a CD which just wasn't worth the trouble. Be very wary of the quality of electronic devices from Arc. Although their selection is much larger than Goodwill, Goodwill's quality is usually superior and even their normal price is often cheaper than Arc's 50% price. Sometimes you need to shop at Arc because Goodwill has such a poor selection and sometimes you can find a really good deal at Arc, but I would always try Goodwill first and be very careful what you buy from Arc. Inspect it thoroughly and be cognizant of what the prices should be.
