We have been taking our pets here for years and they are all rescues. We have always been happy with the Animal Doctor. We adopted a kitten recently that had a pretty rough start with multiple surgeries and vet visits before we got him. There were concerns regarding neurological damage from the kitten's trauma from the previous veterinarian office and we had brought all of his medical records to be reviewed, but it seemed that the only concern was with what vaccinations our kitten had already had. It was just disappointing for me that the paperwork wasn't reviewed and when I brought certain things up they were just dismissed since our kitten looked good the day we brought him for an exam. I hope it was just an off-day for the Dr.
Just got my first dog and I took him here on a recommendation from the shelter. The staff is great, the facility is nice, and I thought the prices were fair. This will be my main vet for the foreseeable future!
The compassion and support from these people is exemplary. They consistently provide our family with the absolute best experience possible. We recently lost our pup and the love and support we received will never be forgotten. There is no other place like it. The Animal Doctor is the only place my animals will ever go. I thank my lucky stars every day to have The Animal Doctor, Dr. Filbert, her techs and the front desk team in my corner. I appreciate that they really take the time to listen and talk through care. It is more collaborative than any vet I've had experience with. They don't make you feel bad for asking questions and advocating for your pet - you have a voice in their care that will be heard. One of my dogs is currently being treated for a broken toe, and he is also fearful of handling by strangers. He does twice-weekly visits for splint changes to keep the injury dry and clean and it can be stressful for him and in turn us. In the past I have sometimes been made to feel "extra" going into previous vets offices armed with cheese and treats. Not here. They are all about easing the stress for the patient. I love that about them! Vet care is already stressful for a lot of dogs, and treating not just the physical injury but supporting emotional wellness has paid off. Not only are his procedures getting easier, we've seen his fear decrease in this context as a result. I know that not every medical situation affords that kind of time, but I've really appreciated that when they can, they take things at his pace. I just can't stress enough how impressed I have been. Great vets and staff! Dr. Flores talked to me in depth about what to do with my dog, and really took the time to understand what was going on! I appreciated how much she cared, and the prices were reasonable! Highly recommend this clinic to everyone! Dr. Falk also saw my snake and she was so compassionate! I love that she sees exotic animals!
